Living with Fibromyalgia isn’t easy. If you’re here, you probably know that all too well.
Here’s a little about my story, and how it might offer some hope, perspective, or even just a little comfort along your own path.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, my life was turned completely upside down. I lost the job I thought would turn into a long-term career. Suddenly, I had nothing but time—and nowhere to go but inward.
After six months of being the most sedentary I’d ever been, I realized I was also the most unhappy, unhealthy, and emotionally depleted version of myself. And somehow… that ended up being a blessing in disguise.
FINDING MYSELF AGAIN
I knew this was an opportunity to make a big life change. I wanted a new path—one with purpose, impact, and meaning.
I’ve always worked in service—helping people, supporting teams, connecting with others. It’s in my loving, nurturing DNA. (Thanks, Mom!) Looking back now, it feels full-circle that I landed on this path. I always loved health class. I excelled at public speaking. I naturally led and cared for others. It was all there—I just needed the space to see it.
That moment of rock bottom gave me clarity. I knew it was time for a full-life reset. I realized I wanted to help in a way that was sustainable, healing, and aligned with my own lived experience.
So many of us move through life as if things are just happening to us. But I’m here to tell you: you are not powerless. You are the author of your life.
Not just the chapters—but the pages, the paragraphs, and even the punctuation.
That experience lit a fire in me. It gave me hope, perspective, and proof that healing and transformation are possible.
A SHIFT TOWARDS SERVICE
I realized I still wanted to care for others—but no longer in service. I wanted to be of service. To give back. To help others experience real change. To walk with people through their hard moments and help them come out stronger.
I began researching holistic health programs, and I kept circling back to IIN—the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I’d heard about them before on my own wellness journey. Their curriculum, reputation, and values aligned perfectly with what I envisioned. So I said yes.
And that “yes” changed my life.
Before stepping into the world of health coaching, I spent years in the restaurant industry. Serving others, anticipating needs, and creating memorable dining experiences were second nature to me. The fast-paced environment taught me resilience, adaptability, and the profound impact of nourishment—not just from food, but from genuine human connection.
That background wasn’t just a job—it was a training ground. It taught me the importance of listening, being present, and recognizing that every person carries their own story. Those lessons naturally found their way into my coaching practice.
As the FibroFightingFoodie, I now combine my culinary roots with holistic health strategies. I guide women through personalized wellness journeys, using food as the foundation—but never the whole picture. Together, we explore how lifestyle, mindset, and nourishment can help reclaim energy, reduce flare-ups, and restore a sense of joy.
At FibroFightingFoodie, this isn't just about food—it's about all the ways we feed and nourish ourselves.
I'm here to listen, to co-create, and to help you fight—with food, with support, and heart. Together, we reclaim your story.
I'm so glad you're here. You deserve to feel empowered, supported, and seen.
